The 28th DEFAV Solidarity Night will take place on May 24th at Divan Fenerbahçe Faruk Ilgaz.

Founded in 1995, our foundation was established with the primary aim of providing health and educational support to the spouses and children of our alumni lost at sea, as well as to alumni in need. We also provide scholarships to students of İTÜ Maritime Faculty and offer academic scholarships and financial support to graduates pursuing an academic career. Thanks to your material and moral support, we have been able to sustain our activities.

Since its establishment, we have provided scholarships and social assistance to more than 12,000 individuals and families in need. In our affiliated student dormitory, we offer housing under the best possible conditions for 620 students.

In 2024, our foundation provided approximately 7,000,000 TL in scholarships to 201 students under the categories of Earthquake Relief Scholarship, Dormitory Scholarship, and Financial Aid Scholarship. With your ongoing and future support, we will continue this effort.

In 2024, our foundation also extended a total of 800,000 TL in aid to 34 alumni and their families. For 2025, thanks to your generous contributions, we have granted academic scholarships totaling 1,250,000 TL to 4 of our academics. We proudly state that we will continue this support in the future, with your help.

All these services are made possible by the trust and support you have shown us. In order to meet the growing demand for scholarships and aid, keep dormitory fees at a minimum, and continue supporting our students affected by earthquakes, your contributions are now more important than ever.

As in previous years, our foundation will once again organize its traditional annual event to sustain these support efforts.
