One of the founding purposes of the İTÜ Maritime Faculty (YDO) Alumni Social Aid Foundation is to provide scholarship support to students and academics in need. Since its establishment in 1995, our foundation has been working towards this goal. Donations made to our foundation are directed towards social aid and scholarships for mariners and their families.

Since its inception, our foundation has provided over 10,000 forms of social assistance, including social aid, academic scholarships, and student scholarships.

In 2024, our foundation will be providing regular monthly financial support to 202 students, as well as assistance to nearly 20 families.

Who can apply:

1- İTÜ Binali Yıldırım Dormitory Scholarship: İTÜ Maritime Faculty students residing in the dormitory
2- Earthquake Relief Scholarship: İTÜ Maritime Faculty students who are earthquake victims
3- Financial Assistance (Need-Based) Scholarship: İTÜ Maritime Faculty students (those who are not earthquake victims and have not received a dormitory scholarship)
4- Social Aid Scholarship: İTÜ Maritime Faculty (YDO) alumni and their families
5- Academic Scholarship: İTÜ Maritime Faculty academics

Documents to be Submitted to the İTÜ Binali Yıldırım Dormitory Administrative Office:
1- The scholarship application form must be filled out completely and accurately. (The form can be obtained from the Binali Yıldırım Dormitory administrative office or downloaded from the button below.)
2- Income certificate of family members (Original) (Salary Slip); if retired, a copy of the retirement account book or retirement certificate
3- Proof of residence
4- Copy of the family registration certificate
5- One passport-sized photograph
6- Poverty certificate, if available
7- Student certificate for siblings currently enrolled in school
8- For renters, a copy of the rental agreement
