Donations made to DEFAV are directed towards social assistance for needy maritime families and scholarships for students and academics of the ITU Maritime Faculty.
DEFAV has reached these values with the support of dear mariners and friends who love the sea and maritime. Our goal is to provide more assistance with contributions from the maritime community.
With your help, you can provide scholarship support to a student, assist a maritime academic ready to teach, or open new horizons for the family and children of a mariner who dedicated years to the sea and maritime but is no longer with us.

Our dormitory, opened in 2012, is operated by DEFAV. Students who wish to stay in the dormitory, largely financed by our alumni, can pay the dormitory fee to our foundation as a conditional donation. If desired, you can also provide support in the spirit of professional solidarity.
Our foundation provides continuous social assistance and educational support to the families of our alumni who have become martyrs in service or are in need.
